Yak English Group Classes are all about conversation, connection, and keeping your skills alive, featuring engaging speaking activities, real-world topics, and plenty of chances to have authentic conversation practice with classmates. With small groups and a relaxed atmosphere, you’ll build fluency, grow your vocabulary, and enjoy learning together each week.

What you get
How the classes work 🖥️
Each online English group class is 55 minutes, designed to be lively, practical, and interactive. Groups are small - 3–5 students - so you’ll have plenty of time to speak, build confidence, and share ideas. Classes take place online through Google Meet, and each lesson blends speaking practice, new vocabulary, and useful grammar in a way that feels natural and easy to apply.
Pop culture in the class 🍿
Yak English brings the outside world into the classroom. We utilise movies, music, books, and current events to make lessons memorable and enjoyable. Pop culture references aren’t just entertaining; they help you connect English to real life, so the language sticks and feels relevant to you. This is real English, not textbook English.

Cory is the founder of Yak English and your teacher for every class. He’s been helping students around the world learn English for over eight years, from South Korea to Canada and the UK. As a native speaker, he has seen first-hand how challenging it can feel to keep up your English after school, work, or study abroad, and that’s why he’s here: to give you a friendly, reliable place to keep practising, week after week.

Classes start from ¥2500 / ₩23,000 / €14 / $16. Choose your region, level and currency when booking.
Where possible, we will try to invoice you in your own currency. Feel free to use the currency table to view our current pricing per class in your preferred or local currency. Group classes are our most affordable English courses with native speakers.
